Our Story

The passion behind the purpose.

Our Founder's Story

Chase Thomas always knew he would build a career in finance—but first, he wanted to spend his college years pursuing the thing he loved most: dance. At his Utah university, Chase performed with every major company on campus, committing in his senior year to the touring contemporary/modern company, and earning a coveted spot at Vegas Week on So You Think You Can Dance. After graduating, he danced professionally, but the reality of an artist’s income made it impossible to stay afloat. Stepping away from his artistic career was heartbreaking, and he promised himself he would one day help other dancers avoid the same fate.

That promise became a mission.

Through his work with Alpha Wealth Funds, a world-renowned financial planning firm, Chase gained the tools and resources to turn that mission into action. In 2021, he and his then business partner Harvey Sax founded the Alpha Wealth Foundation—a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting dancers and other artists whose passion outpaces their funding.

With Utah’s vibrant dance community as its starting point, the Foundation has already supported several small to mid-sized organizations and continues to expand its portfolio each year. While dance remains the primary focus, Chase envisions a future where the Foundation uplifts a wide range of art forms and reaches beyond state borders.

The Foundation’s mission is two-fold: to strengthen artists’ livelihoods and to help arts organizations build the business and storytelling skills needed for long-term sustainability. Chase and the Foundation team also work to amplify audience engagement—because every artist deserves a full house and a community eager to experience their message.

Through this work, the Alpha Wealth Foundation is building a stronger ecosystem for artists and the patrons who rely on them, helping ensure Utah’s arts scene—and beyond—continues to thrive.
